We are glad to say that the Remembrance Parade WILL be going ahead for 2022. You are welcome to join the whole community to pay your respects on Remembrance Sunday, 14th November.
We will start the parade from the health centre car park entrance at around 10am. There will be a short road closure whilst the parade moves down to Forge Fach, where a short outdoor service will take place.
The road closure will be back on after the service whilst the parade moves up to the War Memorial Hospital.
Those organisations who have not yet been contacted, but would like to lay a wreath or join the procession, please get in touch.
We're delighted to say our Christmas Parade will be back this year on Saturday 4th December.
You are welcome to join Santa and his elves in Forge Fach car park before they set off up the high street at 5pm.
The parade will stop at the Mond for the switching on of the famous Christmas tree and to receive a blessing form the Priest from St Benedicts R.C Church.
This year, we will be joined by the Glantawe Lions who will be collecting donations as we move along the High Street.
The parade will then move along Vardre road, stopping at the Community Hall where children can meet Santa in his grotto, feed and have a photo with the Reindeer, and receive a free selection box. Children with allergies will need to notify the council two weeks prior to the event.
A rolling road closure will be in place from 5pm until 5:40.
